Terms of Service

Welcome to PaddleStack. By using the PaddleStack mobile application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

PaddleStack is a pickleball session management platform that helps players check in to sessions, get matched into games based on skill level, and track match results. The App is provided by PaddleStack ("we", "our", or "us").

You must be at least 13 years old to use PaddleStack. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

You create an account by verifying your phone number via SMS. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account. You agree to provide accurate profile information.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems.
• Submit false match scores or manipulate matchmaking.
• Harass, abuse, or behave inappropriately toward other players.

PaddleStack facilitates session management for pickleball play. We do not operate physical courts or events. Session organizers are responsible for their venues, rules, and safety. Participation in any session is at your own risk.

Some courts have cameras that can stream matches live and save them as replays. Whether a session is recorded is up to its organizer, and whether you are recorded is up to you:

• The organizer decides whether a session allows recording. A session that does shows “Matches may be recorded” in the App. Sessions with recording turned off are not recorded.
• When you RSVP to a session that allows recording, the App asks whether you are OK being recorded. The answer starts as no: you are only recorded if you turn it on.
• You can change your answer at any time from the session page in the App. A change applies from then on; it does not remove replays saved before you changed it.
• If your answer is no, the live stream of your court pauses while you play, court cameras do not record your matches, and no replay of them is saved. If you are added to a match that is already in progress, the stream may continue until that match ends, but it will not be saved.
• If you are added to a session without RSVPing in the App (for example by the organizer, as a guest, or as a walk-in), you are not asked and may be recorded. Tell the organizer, or email support@paddlestack.com, to opt out or have a replay removed.
• A parent or guardian who signs up a child can email support@paddlestack.com to have any replay the child appears in removed.
• Live streams and saved replays can be watched by anyone, including on the PaddleStack website, without signing in.
• By choosing to be recorded, you allow PaddleStack and the session organizer to stream, store, and show the video of your matches in the App and on the PaddleStack website.
• Your answer covers you while you are playing a match on the court. Courts may be filmed at any other time, so if you walk onto, stand near, or pass in front of a court that is being recorded or streamed (for example as a spectator, between matches, or on your way to another court), you may appear in the video, and that is your responsibility.
• These choices apply only to cameras run through PaddleStack. They do not control the venue’s own cameras or other people filming on their own devices.

Some sessions, tournaments, and events require payment to register. When you make a payment through PaddleStack, the following terms apply:

• Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe’s terms of service, and your card details are handled securely by Stripe — PaddleStack never stores your full card number.
• Prices are set by the session or event organizer, not by PaddleStack. The full amount you will be charged is shown before you confirm payment.
• PaddleStack is a technology platform that facilitates payments between you and organizers. Organizers — not PaddleStack — are responsible for delivering the session or event you paid for.
• PaddleStack may charge organizers a service or platform fee for use of the platform. Any such fee is included in the total shown at checkout.
• Refunds and cancellations are subject to the organizer’s policy for that session or event. If you believe you are owed a refund, contact the organizer or email support@paddlestack.com and we will help facilitate a resolution.
• You agree to pay all charges you authorize and confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide.

If you link your DUPR account, your rating data is used for skill-based matchmaking. PaddleStack is not affiliated with DUPR. Your use of DUPR is subject to DUPR's own terms and policies.

The App and its content, features, and functionality are owned by PaddleStack and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PaddleStack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to injuries sustained during pickleball play.

You may delete your account at any time from the Privacy & Data screen in the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
